Bangkok & Hua Hin 2014 Part I

This is the first oversea trip with my BFF. We booked this trip one year ago and suppose there are 5 of us going but ended up only 3 due to unforeseen circumstances. Lol!

Basically this trip was meant for CNY shopping, thus no much pictures were taken in Bangkok. However we visited Santorini Park at Hua Hin which took us approximately 5 hours plus to go and forth.

Only 2 of us flying and another BFF joined us on the next day

Accommodation: First House Bangkok @ Pratunam

Pros: It is located near to Platinum Mall (wholesale mall), about 5 mins walking distance. The room is spacious and worth for its price.

Cons: About 20 mins walking distance to Rathathewi BTS station. It is located inside a valley which is crowded with big cars and people carrying stock trolley during daytime. Voices from outside our room and streets can be heard which made the morning alarm for us -.-

A little disappointment in me when we arrived at the hotel as the hotel lobby looked old. But the hotel room has gone through renovation and I felt relieved.

Triple room (the singe bed is slightly small)

Modern simple design

Sightseeing Photography Day: Santorini Park, Hua Hin

It is advisable to stay overnight if you are about to visit Hua Hin as it is really far away from Bangkok. We were supposed to visit Swiss Sheep Farm and Premium Outlet yet the transport to travel to one place and another was limited.

How to go: By Mini Van -->>>Take BTS to Victory Monument station and talk the walkway towards south, descend the staircase clockwise to the street. The minibus area is next to staircase and look for a small table that stated Cha-am.

The trip took us 2.5 hours to reach and cost 180 bahts one way. The mini van has about 10 seating and it will stop whenever you call for it. When reach our destination, the driver stopped us by the side of highway and we need to cross over as Santorini Park is at the opposite. Too dangerous with all the trucks crossing by. And it was terrible to call for the van to go back to Bangkok! We need to contact them to pick us up one hour before and we ended up waited for 2.5 hours for the van to reach. Traffic started to build up when we were close to Bangkok and we used 3 hours to reach Victory Monument.

You can also go by taxi but it is expensive. 3000++ bahts is too expensive for 3 of us.

There were only few people at Santorini Park during our visit. Good thing for us to take our sweet time to find nice angle for photography session. Entrance fee cost 50 bahts per person.

Bali Trip - June 2013

I have always dream of having a vacation in Bali especially after watching Eat.Pray.Love as it is a romantic and relax affordable holiday ideal destination. So I booked a flight to Bali during Airasia Promo at approximately MYR 400 per pax.

My friend once told me there is a superstitious belief where couple who travel to Bali together will ended up have a break up. I was thinking if this so why are couples still hold their weddings there -.- So I concluded it was a belief for whoever believe it so.

As this is the first time being to Bali, of course we shall visit its most happening place which is Seminyak. I was regretted not to make the holiday longer as we don't have much time explore more about the beautiful island. Our stay for this trip was only 4D3N with 1 day wasted due to our late flight and common delay by Airasia which we arrived Denpasar Airport at 10pm.

Thus being a smart traveler who predicted the worst situation to come, I booked a night stay at Tune Hotel and we just slept off the day with instant noodles from the convenient store. Such a waste~

Why I am still so fat!!!
The next day we took a cab to our real holiday accommodation which is Amadea Resort & Villas. I wanted to book a villa which is near to beach but for only 2 of us it is way too expensive T.T

Amadea is located in the heart of Seminyak and on a fashionable 'eat street' with loads of boutiques and restaurants. However the beach is about 15 mins walking distance. So you can get some beer and enjoy it while walking to your destination. How nice is that! :)

This is the walk path in Amedea. They have this shuttle motorcar to drive you back and forth from the entrance to the hotel area.

The first thing to do after we checked in earlier was to hunt for FOOD. Because Tune Hotel does not provide breakfast and there was not much choices of restaurants nearby.

Seriously, the whole street in Seminyak is so commercialize with shophouses like restaurants and boutiques. The restaurants are mostly served western food.

So we just dropped by some restaurant which I don't really remember the name. Is something ends with Spoon. Whatever!

The weather was so hot and we need some cool and breeze drink so much.

The complimentary snack, meatball. So sweet.

It looked nice so worth another pic. haha. However it tasted average.

I wanted to order something local but the menu doesn't seem to suit my appetite. Hence, PIZZA!
It tasted really bad which the pizza is not toasted completely. I think I ate dough instead of pizza crust.

Forgot to take before picture. haha. This was some local nasi xxxxx. I really not good at remembering names.
Tasted not bad but a little spicy.

Then we took a walk along the streets. That was me if you are in doubt. FAT LEGS!!!
This is the room during our 2 nights stay. Although I have surveyed the room designs before I still feel a bit disappointed. This is not how it suppose to be -.- Just ignore me.

The room was spacious and so do the toilet. Overall we were satisfy with this resort. One thing to complain is that this room is Superior with pool access but it dost not directly connect to the pool! We need to get out of our room and walk to the pool like 15 footsteps (I'm just a bit particular about this) and the pool was so so small and it was always full of ang mohs having 'pool party' there.

We did not utilize this area as there were bushes blocking the pool view

Nevertheless the staffs were all friendly. 'I make Gorilla for you. I hope you like it. Have a nice day.'

Best food ever tried in Seminyak: Naughty Nuri's Warung

They served really good pork ribs. Me myself is not a fan of meats especially pork rib but theirs was so delicious. It was cooked perfectly well with tender and juicy texture.

I love their environment as well. Their concept is more like TGI Friday's with fun and playful deco and atmosphere. The staffs even danced and sang a shake shake song if you order margarita on that night.

Not many pictures were taken that night especially my own selfie time. I guess I had my pleasant time in exploring the food.

Ohh, did I mention I only got to know not all Indonesians are muslim. Some of them are Buddhist hence they can own non-halal restaurants and of course have pork.

Their signature icon as their main serve is pork

I love their color paintings on the table

yummy-licious corn, ME LOVE <3
TADAAA~ The main attraction of the night! See, how can you ever resist this?

This meal cost us about MYR 100 (if I am not mistaken, 2 portion of pork ribs, 2 corns, 1 potato wedges and 2 drinks). It's really worth a try and for me I will definitely go back again!

By the way, our taxi fare from resort to naughty nuri's was about MYR 30 one way as it located quite far away. Not the distance that you can walk and the street was dark and seems dangerous.

THIRD DAY

Thanks god it was mostly sunny during our trip. For this Bali trip, we did not have time for more sight-seeing to Uluwatu and temple. Because bf loves beach so much! And so do I!

My beachy ootd~ As little as possible and splashed loads of sunscreen all over my body!

Breakfast provided but nothing much choices and koko krunch with milk is always my fav!

American style breakkie

KuDeTa Beach

The sea is always the most breathtaking and dangerous nature in the world

Unlike beaches in Krabi and Phuket, beaches in Bali is meant for surfing purposes as the waves were strong.

During the high tide in the morning, the waves were strong and scary like tsunami is going to happen! Seriously I was thinking where to hide if the waves suddenly hit us and I studied that among the trees is the safest place to hide. Yea, I know my imagination is 'creative'. Well, nothing happen!

The bright and shinny sun made our eyes become so small!

Freezy drink contains alcohol or beer is a MUST for my beach trip!

Couple fav beach shot, I love my beach wear from Zara!
Didn't really intend to take people's backside pixies >"<

Such a scenic! Who cares if I got tanned from this beautiful sunbathing experience?!
Frankly I do care after my trip so I will wear as much of sunblocks as I can! Hehe

So if you want to me to choose my favourite beach experience, it would be Phuket Kata Beach (as among all beaches that I have visited). The reason being is I do not know how to surffff and Bali beaches cannot be my fav! In addition, Thai food is still my favourite! I remember having banana pancakes everywhere and coconut drinks and of course their cheaper alcohol from 7-11!

However, I hope to come back again for a luxurious villa stay~

End this post with a tempting Strawberry Ice cream waffles. It is best to enjoy ice cream in a hot sunny summer!

Hope you like my post :)

Loves,
XOXO
