Bangkok & Hua Hin 2014 Part I

This is the first oversea trip with my BFF. We booked this trip one year ago and suppose there are 5 of us going but ended up only 3 due to unforeseen circumstances. Lol!

Basically this trip was meant for CNY shopping, thus no much pictures were taken in Bangkok. However we visited Santorini Park at Hua Hin which took us approximately 5 hours plus to go and forth.

Only 2 of us flying and another BFF joined us on the next day

Accommodation: First House Bangkok @ Pratunam

Pros: It is located near to Platinum Mall (wholesale mall), about 5 mins walking distance. The room is spacious and worth for its price.

Cons: About 20 mins walking distance to Rathathewi BTS station. It is located inside a valley which is crowded with big cars and people carrying stock trolley during daytime. Voices from outside our room and streets can be heard which made the morning alarm for us -.-

A little disappointment in me when we arrived at the hotel as the hotel lobby looked old. But the hotel room has gone through renovation and I felt relieved.

Triple room (the singe bed is slightly small)

Modern simple design

Sightseeing Photography Day: Santorini Park, Hua Hin

It is advisable to stay overnight if you are about to visit Hua Hin as it is really far away from Bangkok. We were supposed to visit Swiss Sheep Farm and Premium Outlet yet the transport to travel to one place and another was limited.

How to go: By Mini Van -->>>Take BTS to Victory Monument station and talk the walkway towards south, descend the staircase clockwise to the street. The minibus area is next to staircase and look for a small table that stated Cha-am.

The trip took us 2.5 hours to reach and cost 180 bahts one way. The mini van has about 10 seating and it will stop whenever you call for it. When reach our destination, the driver stopped us by the side of highway and we need to cross over as Santorini Park is at the opposite. Too dangerous with all the trucks crossing by. And it was terrible to call for the van to go back to Bangkok! We need to contact them to pick us up one hour before and we ended up waited for 2.5 hours for the van to reach. Traffic started to build up when we were close to Bangkok and we used 3 hours to reach Victory Monument.

You can also go by taxi but it is expensive. 3000++ bahts is too expensive for 3 of us.

There were only few people at Santorini Park during our visit. Good thing for us to take our sweet time to find nice angle for photography session. Entrance fee cost 50 bahts per person.
